Elvis!

In early April, we went to Kalou's for the Elvis - peanut butter, banana and marshmallow creme toasted on white bread. If you don't have dietary restrictions, you can add bacon for the full, over-the-top, Elvis experience. The group was kind of skeptical of this sandwich - several of our members had handy excuses to miss this lunch - but it was actually very good, a nice blend of rich and compatible flavors. Too sweet for a frequent lunch choice (for me), but would be a great shared dessert.

In the picture, you can see the marshmallow goo oozing out (which made a really good dip for the yam fries ;-) Next to it is the avocado chicken (Steve and I got a special back-up sandwich too). Surprisingly it wasn't as good as The King. And behind is the peanut butter heath bar mousse they gave us to compensate for taking so long making the peanut butter and banana and marshmallow sandwich - peanut butter dessert overload!

Would I order this sandwich again? Maybe not, but I'm glad I did at least once.
